Hāpai means to support or shoulder and represents all the work done in the background.
Hāpai enterprises came about as a result of integrating a professional life as a teaching and learning coach and instructional designer with a personal passion, which is tending my garden, growing as much food as I can and taking care of Papatūānuku. There are some things that I’d like to change about the world and the best way I know to do this is to live it and share that experience.
The Hāpai logo represents the potential of a seed.
The seed represents Poutama which in Māori tradition symbolises the stages of ascension from the beginning of the universe to the highest of the heavens. A single seed has the potential to feed the world, given time. The roots of the seed represent Hāpai the support or the things you don’t see that allow for a bountiful harvest.
